The Aurora University women's hockey finished the 2022-2023 regular season with a road trip to Trine University. The Spartans defeated the Thunder 7-2.

- The Spartans and Olivia Buzzelli got the games scoring started 9:35 into the game. Peyton Elliott and Erin Campbell assisted in the play.
- With 3:30 left in the first period the Spartans scored again. Campbell and Stephanie Schmunk assisted on the play.
- AU led 2-0 heading into the first intermission.
- The second period turned out to be a wild period with seven goals scored.
- Spartan Darci Matson scored 1:13 into the second with an assist from Schmunk.
- 46 seconds later Buzzelli scored her second of the night with an assist from Mak Cooke.
- Just seconds later Trine scored to break up the AU shutout attempt.
- 8:26 into the second, Erin Campbell picked up her third point of the night, lighting the lamp this time with an unassisted tally.
- Trine again scored seconds later to cut the AU lead to 5-2.
- AU answered 1:06 later to push the lead back to four goals.
- Ellie Visser scored the Spartans sixth goal for AU with assists from Darci Matson and Haley Knauf.
- Late in the second and on the penalty kill, the Spartans struck again.
- Marissa Trevino scored the short-handed tally with Mak Cooke assisting.
- AU led 7-2 after the first 40 minutes of action.
- The third period was scoreless and AU was victorious 7-2.
