The Aurora University men's track and field team competed at the Margaret Bradley Invitational hosted by the University of Chicago.
Mekhii Morris-Heron placed third in the 800m run, with a two second personal best of 1:59.56. This new PR places him 10th in school history.
Aurora scored a total of 17 points in the shot put, led by
Steven Tinsley with a season best mark of 14.79m to place second. Freshman
Phoenix Cooper had a 66 centimeter personal best throw of 13.41m, placing fourth.
Dylan Whisenant threw a season best of 13.01m, placing fifth.
Eli Grundman and
Nate Bermes also scored for the Spartans, scoring second and fourth respectively in the Pole Vault.
Malik Whitehead ran the 60m dash finals, placing third with a time of 7.28s.
Anthony Salinas scored for the team in the 60m finals, placing sixth.

The men compete next at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference, which will begin on Friday, February 24th in Ripon, Wisconsin.
