The Aurora University baseball team returned to action on the spring trip and made quick work of the Duhawks of Loras College, winning 18-2 in seven innings. Freshman CJ Cazares collected his second win on the mound while senior catcher Jett Wedekind moved into a tie with Jeff Mayes as the all-time hits leader at AU.

- Five hits started the game for AU in the bottom of the first with doubles from Jacob Ambuel and Justin Sartori and Sartori driving in both Nico Bermeo and Sartori.
- A single from Brendan Naylor drove in Sartori and AU led 3-0.
- Loras scored a pair of unearned runs in the top of the second with AU maintaining a 3-2 lead.
- After a pair of scoreless innings, the Spartan bats errupted in the bottom of the fourth.
- Seven hits scored eight runs with Ambuel driving in a run with his second double, Sartori drove in his third and fourth runs with a single, Jett Wedekind, Naylor and Collin Meinert all drove in runs as well.
- In the inning, the double by senior catcher Jett Wedekind tied Jeff Mayes as the all-time hits leader for AU with 240.
- Going to the fifth, AU led 11-2.
- Sartori struck again in the fifth, this time clubbing a grand slam to left center field and AU led 15-2.
- The Spartans added three more runs in the sixth for the 18-2 eventual final score.
- AU pitching of CJ Cazares, Tyler Preissing and Brian Henehan scattered five hits and allowed two runs over seven innings for the win.
- The Spartan offense remained locked in with 18 hits bumping the average per game to 13.6.
