AU women run at WashU Distance Carnival

The Aurora University women's track and field team sent a small group of athletes to the 2023 Washington University Distance Carnival in St. Louis, Missouri on March 31st, and April 1st. 
Deyanneira Colon Maldonado opened her outdoor season with a debut in the 10k. Her time of 37:45.41 is currently 22nd in the nation. Maldonado is currently ranked first in the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference. Her performance is the third fastest in school history. 
Abby Liesen and Emily Fetzer also competed in the 10k. Liesen finished seventh in her heat with a PR of 41:04.81, and Fetzer finished 13th with a time of 42:40.32. The women are currently ranked second and third in the NACC, respectively. 
Madison Etheridge made her debut in the 5k with a time of 19:33. This currently ranks her second in the NACC. 
The women will compete next at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois on April 7th, 2023.
