The Aurora University Spartan baseball team headed north to the frozen tundra of Wisconsin to take on the Warriors of Wisconsin Lutheran College on Saturday. The Spartans swept the day wnning 13-3 (8 innings) and 8-4.

GAME ONE
- AU fell behind 1-0 in the second.
- The Spartans responded immediately with a six run third on five hits including a run scoring double from Jacob Ambuel, a double from Justin Sartori and a two-run single from Brenden Naylor.
- A three run fourth followed for the Spartans as Nico Bermeo led off with a home run. Later in the frame, Dominick Curcio had a two-run single and the 9-1 Spartan lead.
- WLC scored one run in the fifth off AU starter Jack Fisher who was lifted after the frame.
- Tyler Preissing tossed the final three innings for a save.
- The Spartans scored a pair in the seventh and nearly entered the game into the mercy rule territory leading 11-2.
- A Derek Angelo single and two Warrior errors in the eighth plated two AU runs and the run rule lead of 13-2.
- WLC scored a run in the bottom of the eighth but the 10-run lead remained in place and AU was victorious 13-3.

GAME TWO
- The Spartans loaded the bases in the first with one out but two fly outs were unable to push across a run.
- AU threatened again in the second with a pair of singles but again left them stranded.
- Walks to Justin Sartori and Josh Reinhardt to start the third proved scoring worthy as they came around on a double from Dominick Curcio for a 2-0 AU lead.
- A Sartori two-run homer in the fourth pushed the AU lead to 4-0 for starter Justin Zimmerman.
- WLC scored once in the sixth with AU keeping a 4-1 lead.
- AU added some insurance runs in eighth. Sean Rivera started the frame with a triple and scored on a Jacob Ambuel single.
- Nico Bermeo scored later in the inning on a double steal attempt with Ambuel.
- AU led 6-1 going to the bottom of the eighth.
- WLC got to Zimmerman in the eighth who was then lifted for Carlos Garcia.
- Garcia kept the Spartan lead which was down to 6-4 through eight innings.
- A pinch hit two-run single from Brenden Naylor in the ninth added two important insurance runs for AU and gave them an 8-4 lead.
- Garcia struck out three in the bottom of the inning for his third save of the season while Zimmerman won his seventh.
