The Aurora University women's lacrosse team fell for just the second time in the 2023 season with now both defeats coming in overtime as the Spartans fell 16-15 at the University of Wisconsin River Falls in overtime. The Spartans win streak was snapped at 10 games.

- The Spartans and UWRF went back and forth throughout the entire contest with each team holding a two-goal lead one time.
- Trailing 1-0, AU got goals from Bailey SImpson and Jalyn Yaukovitz to take an early 2-1 lead.
- Monique Gibson scored the last goal of the first quarter as the game was tied 3-3 after one.
- Down 4-3, AU scored three straight goals to take a 6-4 lead. Goals came from Jessica Boyland, Yaukovitz and Caley Russell.
- Kenly Axvig and Gibson added second quarter goals for AU.
- AU trailed 9-8 heading to halftime.
- UWRF scored to start the third quarter and AU trailed by two at 10-8.
- Following goals from Gibson and Simpson midway through the third the game was knotted at 10.
- As the game would go on with goal for goal between the teams, Danielle Cobbett scored to tie the game again 11-11.
- AU trailed 12-11 after three quarters.
- Gibson and Taylor Janssen scored early in the fourth as AU now led 13-12.
- Gibson added another and with 1:30 left in the game, Yaukovitz scored to put AU up 15-14.
- A late yellow card gave UWRF an extra player and they took advantage to tie the game with 37 seconds left in the game.
- The game would be tied 15-15 and head to overtime.
- Neither team scored in the first three minute section of overtime as the teams goalies switched nets.
- With 1:23 left in overtime, UWRF scored and defeated AU 16-15.
