The Aurora University Spartan baseball team swept their third NACC doubleheader of the season, defeating the visiting Muskies of Lakeland University 12-1 (7 innings) and 11-4.

GAME ONE
- The Spartan offense got a lead off single and then two-out hits to take a 2-0 lead after a double from Josh Reinhardt scored Nico Bermeo and Jett Wedekind.
- In the third, Bermeo led off with a double and scored on a single from Wedekind for a 3-0 AU lead.
- Lakeland got their first baserunner and hit in the fourth but AU starter Justin Zimmerman kept the Muskies scoreless.
- In the bottom of the inning, the first five Spartans reached with three runs crossing the plate for a 6-0 lead.
- A fake bunt and single from Nick Baldassano scored Collin Meinert in that frame.
- Lakeland scored their lone run of the game in the fifth.
- In the bottom of the fifth, the AU bats went back to work, scoring four more runs.
- Three AU hits and a plethora of walks led to the scoring as Lakeland made multiple pitching changes.
- Two more runs crossed in the bottom of the sixth with another double from Reinhardt, a three-base error allowed Meinert to get to third and he eventually scored on a sac flyout from Sean Rivera.
- Max Baer made his collegiate debut on the mound to close out the seventh and AU won 12-1 in a run rule ended game.

GAME TWO
- The starting pitchers were dominant in the first several innings of game two with AU's Jack Fisher striking out seven and allowing just one hit over the first six innings.
- In the fifth the Spartan offense scratched across a run. Collin Meinert led off with a walk and eventually scored on a run scoring ground out by Dominick Curcio.
- In the sixth the bats woke, batting around while scoring six runs for a 7-0 lead.
- Josh Reinhardt and Jacob Ambuel each had two run doubles in the frame.
- Lakeland got two runs in the seventh with Dominick Curcio throwing out a possible third run at the plate with a laser to Brenden Naylor for the tag.
- In the eighth the Spartans nearly ended game two early as well.
- A leadoff triple by Sean Rivera got the inning going, three hits later including a two run single by Justin Sartori and AU led 11-2.
- A diving catch in center on Rivera in his second at bat of the inning kept the game going to the ninth.
- Lakeland scored a pair in the ninth but the Spartans were victorious 11-4.
