Spartan men have strong showing at Carius-Gregory

The Aurora University men's track and field team competed at the Carius-Gregory Invitational from Thursday, May 11th to Friday, May 12th. 
Steven Tinsley threw a 76 centimeter PR in Shot Put, placing third with a mark of 16.27m. He is currently ranked 17th in the nation. This mark improves upon Tinsley's fourth best performance in school history.
Eli Grundman jumped a 22 centimeter PR in Pole Vault, breaking his own school record with a mark of 4.85m. He finished in third place. Grundman is currently ranked 17th in the nation, tying with three other vaulters. 
Freshman Joshua Beecher ran a PR in the 800m run, breaking two minutes for the first time with a time of 1:59.31. 
The men compete next at the Augustana Final Qualifier on Thursday, May 18th.
