AU women finish outdoor at Augstana Twilight

The Aurora University women's track and field team competed at the Augustana College Midwest Twilight Qualifier on Thursday, May 18th. 
Ashley Greer placed eighth in discus with a three meter PR of 43.40m. She is currently ranked 28th in the nation, and is second in school history. She also threw a season best in javelin, placing ninth with a mark of 34.27m. 
Deyanneira Colon Maldonado ran an outdoor 5k PR of 17:53.79, placing third. She is now fourth in school history. Emily Fetzer ran a personal best of 19:11.45, improving on her 10th best time in school history. Natalie Flores ran a nearly minute PR of 19:55.47. 

Freshman Mary Dietz ran a new PR in the 100m hurdles. Her time of 15.94 is now the 5th fastest time in Aurora history.
Also finishing with collegiate bests were freshman N'dya Fields in the 1500 (5:05.77) and Averi Heintzelmen in the high jump (1.49m). 
This concludes the 2023 track and field season for the women.
