The Aurora University men's track and field team placed fourth at the 2023 Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference Outdoor Championships which took place from Friday, May 5th to Saturday, May 6
th. The Spartans finished with a score of 85 points.
Steven Tinsley was named field athlete of the meet, scoring for the Spartans in three events. Tinsley was conference champion in the shot put with a mark of 15.26. He placed second in the discus throw with a personal best mark of 46.09, improving on his fourth best mark in school history. Tinsley also scored for the Spartans in the hammer throw, placing fifth with a mark of 43.33.
Eli Grundman placed second in pole vault, with a personal best height of 4.63m. This height is a new school record, beating the previous record by three centimeters.
Freshman
Brian Nasr placed second in javelin, with a mark of 50.24. This performance earned him an all-conference spot.

Phoenix Cooper was all-conference in the discus throw, placing third with a personal best mark of 43.53. This mark is seventh in school history.
