AU men finish fourth overall and second among D3 teams at Warrior Invite

The Aurora University men's cross country team competed at the Warrior Invitational hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran College. The men placed fourth with a score of 119 points. They were the second Division III team. 
Sam Brown finished first for the Spartans, placing 13th with a time of 27:49.2. 
Cris Valencia placed 18th with a time of 28:09.0. 
Steven Kalish came next, placing 24th with a time of 28:28.8. 
Freshman Armando Acosta finished 29th with a time of 28:39.8. 
Rounding out the scoring was Joshua Thoms, placing 35th with a time of 29:04.2. 
"Today was a great opportunity for us to preview the conference meet course," said Head Coach Alex Lowe. "Our men learned a lot and had some really good takeaways that I think are going to propel us to a very strong conference meet. I'm continually impressed by the way Acosta has moved up throughout the season, and I think he's one to watch for as time goes on."

Up next the Spartans compete at the Jim Drews Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. The meet takes place on Saturday, October 14th in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
