The Aurora University women's track and field team competed at the Blue Demon Alumni Invitational hosted by DePaul University.
Deedee Colon Maldonado ran her second 3k of the season, finishing seventh in the meet. She was the second fastest Division III finisher in the event. She ran a PR of 9:43.34, improving on her own school record by 14 seconds. She is currently ranked third in the nation and first in the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference.
Lauren Bliefernicht ran a PR in the preliminary round of the 60 meter dash, placing third. Her time of 7.98 ranks her third in school history. She is currently tied for the fastest time in the NACC this season. She also ran 42.08 in the 300 meter dash, ranking her fourth in school history.
Skylar Gibbs qualified for finals in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.78. She placed seventh in the meet with a time of 10.10.
Silja Erickson scored in the shot put with a mark of 11.61, placing eighth.
Freshman Grace Bielfuss placed eighth in the high jump with a mark of 1.45 meters.

Up next, the Spartans compete at the DIII Keck Select meet hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University. Competition begins Friday, February 2nd in Bloomington, Illinois.
