The Aurora University women's volleyball team road the roller-coaster of emotions in a thrilling five set match with the visiting Eagles of Benedictine University on Wednesday night. AU out-lasted the Eagles winning sets two, four and five for the 12th consecutive win for AU over the rivals from Lisle.

- Leading 7-4, the Spartans saw the visitors run off a 10-2 scoring run to force an AU timeout.
- The Spartans would drop the first set 25-19.
- It was the Spartans that trailed early in the second set at 8-3 but rallied back to out-score BU 22-7 after an AU timeout.

Izzie Jackson each had four kills in the set.
- The third set was played much closer but a late BU scoring run dropped the Spartans 25-21 and trailed the match 2-1.

Kate Poellmann led the set with eight kills.
- The Spartans came out in dominating fashion in the fourth, opening up a 6-1 and 11-4 lead.
- AU maintained the lead throughout and sent the match to a fifth set with a 25-16 set win.

Lilly Vance came off the AU bench in the fourth set and dropped nine kills while hitting .467..
- In the fifth set and the score tied 6-6, Vance again came up strong, connecting on three of her five kills to give AU a 10-7 lead.
- AU would go on to win 15-9 in the crazy circus like environment inside Thornton Gymnasium.
- The Spartans out-lasted the rival Eagles for a 12th straight contest, winning 3-2.
