The Aurora University men's track and field team competed at the Slick Invitational hosted by North Central College on Friday, February 16th. The Spartans placed fifth out of nine teams with a score of 47.5.they were the third highest scoring Division III team.
Steven Tinsley won the Shot Put with an indoor personal record of 15.98m. This mark is fourth in school history. He also placed second in the Weight Throw with a 58 centimeter PR of 17.18m. This mark is third in school history. He is currently ranked first in both events in the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference.
Aurora had a strong showing in the 800 meter run, with three men scoring for the team. Freshman
Armando Acosta placed second with a time of 1:57.88. This performance is seventh in school history, and currently ranks him third in the NACC.
Jacob Bohnert placed third with a time of 1:58.08. This currently ranks him fourth in the NACC.
Mekhii Morris-Heron placed fifth with a time of 1:59.45.

Sam Brown, and Bohnert placed second in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:31.54. This currently ranks third in the NACC.
Nate Bermes placed seventh in the Pole Vault with a mark of 4.10.
Nick Tannhauser placed seventh in the Shot Put with a mark of 13.23m.
