AU men run third at NACC Indoor Championship

The Aurora University men's track and field team placed third at the 2024 indoor Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championships. The Spartans finished with a total of 69.5 points.
 
Steven Tinsley was conference champion in the shot put. His 16.23-meter heave was a new indoor personal record and is now the third best mark in school history. He finished nearly 1.5 meters ahead of second place. Tinsley also earned All-Conference status in the weight throw by finishing in second place with a mark of 16.90 meters.
 
The distance medley relay of Jacob Bohnert, Joshua Beechler, MeKhii Morris-Heron, and Armando Acosta ended day one of competition with a victory. Acosta fought to the line in a time of 10:30.20 to edge out the team from Edgewood. This is the third fastest time in Aurora history for the relay.
