The Aurora University men's track and field team competed at the Keck DIII Select meet hosted by Illinois Wesleyan.
Steven Tinsley threw a 1.04 meter personal record in the Weight throw, placing tenth. His mark of 16.60 is third in school history. He also threw a 42 centimeter PR in the Shot Put, placing seventh. His mark of 15.84 improves on the fourth best mark in school history. He is currently ranked first in the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference in both events.
Eric Teverbaugh had a 150 point PR in the Heptathlon with a score of 3213, placing fifth. This performance is sixth in school history. He ran a PR of 10.30 in the 60 meter hurdles, and jumped a PR of 1.95 in the pole vault.
Quintarius Davis ran a PR in the 60 meter dash. His time of 7.10 ties him for tenth in school history.
The Spartans had a strong performance in the mile run.
Jacob Bohnert placed fifth with a time of 4:28.33, freshman
Armando Acosta placed seventh with a PR of 4:31.16, and
Sam Brown placed ninth with a PR of 4:32.76.
