The Aurora University softball team headed southeast to Franklin College in Indiana for a non-conference doubleheader on Sunday afternoon. The Spartans won game one 9-2 to extend their win streak to 10 games but would fall in game two 7-6 but it took extra innings to snap the AU win streak.

GAME ONE:
- Franklin scored first in the bottom of the first inning to take a 1-0 lead.
- In the third, Tyler Chambers doubled with one out and scored to tie the game on a sac fly from Alex Thiel.
- A solo home run from Franklin in the bottom of the inning gave the hosts a 2-1 lead.
- Singles in the fourth from Casey Brennan, Jordan Seyfried and Audrey Ortiz plated Brennan with the tying run.
- AU pitcher Rylee Campbell followed with a 1-2-3 inning and got the hot Spartan bats back to work.
- In the fifth the Spartans would score seven runs on six hits with the inning starting with nine of the first 10 batters reaching.
- The big hit of the inning came with AU already leading 5-2 and the bases loaded. Faith Biggs hit a big-fly for a grandslam and AU led 9-2.
- Campbell made the lead hold up as AU won their 10th consecutive game 9-2.

GAME TWO:
- AU fell behind 2-0 in the first after a Franklin two-run homer.
- Franklin added a run in the fourth to lead the Spartans 3-0.
- The Spartans would tie the game in the fifth with three runs of their own on three singles and a Tyler Chambers double.
- Two errors in the bottom of the fifth allowed Franklin to score two runs and regain a 6-4 lead.
- AU then took advantage of a Franklin error along with a single from Chambers and double from Kionna King to tie the game 6-6.
- The game would remain tied going to extra innings.
- In the eighth the Spartans loaded the bases with one out but could not push across the go ahead run.
- Franklin got a lead off double in the bottom of the ninth and would use a sacrifice before the winning run would cross and AU fell 7-6.
