How it happened
Game One:
- AU struck for three runs in the top of the first, and it started with a Derek Angelo RBI double that scored Nico Bermeo.
- Joe Lukancic came around to score a batter later on a Logan Riley RBI ground out.
- The Spartans took a 3-0 lead when Nik Panico hit a run scoring single.
- Lakeland scored one run in the bottom of the first to trim AU's lead to 3-1.
- Riley followed his first inning RBI with a run scoring single in the second.
- AU increased their lead to 6-1 in the second when Dominick Curcio and Tyler Patton drew back-to-back bases loaded walks.
- The Spartans tacked on one more in third when Angelo came around to score on an error.
- Patton hit a sac-fly in the fourth that allowed Panico to trot home. This made it 8-1 AU after four innings of play.
- In the fifth inning, Bermeo scored on a wild pitch for the first on nine AU runs in the inning.
- Panico followed this up with a three-run bomb that stretched the Spartan lead to 12-1.
- A Spencer Ruch sac-fly followed by a Lukancic two-run double made it 15-1 in favor of AU.
- Riley roped a two-run double of his own down the left field line, giving the Spartans the 17-1 lead after five innings of play.
- Justin Zimmerman exited after five innings of one run ball.
- AU scored two more in the sixth inning on a Ruch RBI single and Angelo sac-fly.
- After a Lakeland run in the sixth, AU made their lead 21-2 in the top of the seventh. Nick Czarnecki and Angelo took bases loaded walks,
- The Muskies scored four runs in the bottom half of the seventh, but it would not nearly be enough in the 21-6 AU victory.

Game Two:
- Bermeo led game two off with a single and later came around to score in the first off an error.
- Lakeland tied the game at one in the bottom of the first.
- The potent Spartan offense struck again in the fourth and made it 2-1. Rivera laced a single to left center that scored Panico.
- AU scored another run in the fifth when Angelo hit an RBI single that brought home Ruch.
- After five innings of one run ball, Jack Fisher gave the ball to Sam Harvey out of the bullpen.
- A Rivera double in the eighth gave Spartans a 4-1 lead.
- Harvey shut down the Muskies in the final four innings, helping AU pickup the 4-1 game two victory.
