The Aurora University baseball team was looking to make it six straight victories to begin the 2024 campaign when they continued their road trip in Central Florida on Monday evening, squaring off against Buena Vista University. Behind a potent Spartan offense led by Dominick Curcio and strong performance on the mound Bryce Miller, AU cruised past the Beavers 11-1 in seven innings.

- The Beavers scored their only run in the top-of-the first inning for a 1-0 lead.
- With the bases and two outs in the bottom-of-the second, Dominick Curcio smacked a three-run triple to give AU a 3-1 lead.
- Two innings later, the Spartans got another rally started as Nico Bermeo hit an RBI single that scored Nick Czarnecki making it 4-1.
- A Derek Angelo RBI single followed by a Nik Panico run scoring double gave the Spartans a 6-1 advantage heading into the fifth inning.
- AU starter Bryce Miller settled in after giving up the first inning run, with the Beavers not getting another hit until the sixth inning.
- Panico extended the 6-1 lead to 8-1 after an infield single that saw both Bermeo and Curcio come around to score.
- Bermeo added more insurance in the bottom-of-the seventh after ripping an two-run single through the left side.
- AU took the 11-1 victory a couple batters later in the second after Bermeo came around to score off an error.
- Curcio finished with three hits and four RBI's, while Bermeo added three hits and three driven in as well.
