The Aurora University softball team dropped a NACC doubleheader with Dominican University on Sunday, losing game one 9-1 before losing 4-3 in nine innings in game two.

GAME ONE:
- The Spartans fell behind 5-0 in the first inning.
- AU scored their only run in the second inning with Alyson Haegele driving in Casey Brennan.
- Domincan added runs in the third and fifth for the 9-1 final score.

GAME TWO:
- AU jumped out early in game two with two runs in the first inning thanks to a pair of walks.
- Shelby Linn would single in Tyler Chambers with one of the two runs.
- Dominican scored a run in the first and second go tie the game 2-2.
- The game remained 2-2 until the sixth when Audrey Ortiz and Chambers led off the inning with singles. Ortiz would score on a sac fly from Faith Biggs.
- AU led 3-2 going to the bottom of the seventh but Dominican scored to tie the game and send it to extra innings.
- The Spartans had base runners in the eighth and ninth but couldn't manufacture a run.
- Dominican would score the winning run in the bottom of the ninth to win 4-3
