The Aurora University softball team took to the field once again on Saturday afternoon to face off against the Green Knights of St. Norbert College. The Spartans experienced a split in the doubleheader, losing the first game 2-1 but bouncing back to secure a victory in the second game with a score of 4-2.

GAME ONE:
- The game remained scoreless until the top of the fifth inning when St. Norbert took a 1-0 lead.
- In the top of the sixth, the Green Knights added one to extend their lead 2-0. 
- The Spartans responded by loading the bases in the bottom of the inning but were unable to push a run across.
- In a last-ditch effort, the Spartans started a rally in the bottom of the seventh inning. Faith Biggs kick started the momentum with a single up the middle, followed by Tyler Chambers single to right field. Alex Thiel laid down a bunt to advance Biggs and Chambers into scoring position.
- Shelby Linn then delivered an RBI single, bringing Tyler Chambers home.
- Despite having runners in scoring position, the Spartans ultimately fell short and were defeated by the Green Knights with a final score of 2-1.

GAME TWO:
- St. Norbert took an early lead, scoring two runs in the opening inning.
- The Spartans answered back in the bottom half, scoring one run. Faith Biggs started the inning with a walk and later scored on a single by Kionna King.
- With two outs in the bottom of the second, pitch runner Madison Lung crossed the plate on a single by Tyler Chambers, tying the game at 2-2.
- The Spartans took  a 3-2 lead in the fourth inning with two outs when Alex Thiel drove in Chambers with an RBI single.
- AU extended their lead in the sixth inning after Faith Biggs, who reached base after being hit by a pitch, scored on a single by Kionna King.
- The Spartans were victorious 4-2.
