The Aurora University women's Track and Field team competed at the 2024 NCC Carius/Gregory Invitational on May 9th and 10th.
Lauren Bliefernicht ran a new personal record in the 200m dash. Her .18 second PR of 24.80 was good enough for second place and is now the third fastest time in Aurora history.
Keyara Bailey placed third in high jump. Her new PR of 1.56m is now the 5th best jump in Aurora history.
Katheryn Rutherford also moved up a school top-ten list in the pole vault. Her personal record of 2.81m moves her into eighth in AU history.
Freshman
Savannah Vasquez was victorious in two events. She won the 5000m in a time of 20:01.54 and doubled back the next day to win the 1500m in a time of 5:03.02.
Next up for the Spartans is the Augustana Twilight Qualifier. Competition begins Wednesday May 15.
