At Aurora University, our Strength and Conditioning program is committed to the development and success of approximately 750 student-athletes across 24 sports. Led by Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Jenee Rago, our program is designed to meet the unique demands of each sport and position.
Â
"Our training programs are research-based and specifically tailored to the individual needs of each athlete," says Coach Rago. "We focus on building strength, power, endurance, speed, and agility, with the ultimate goal of not only enhancing athletic performance but also minimizing the risk of injuries."
Â
The program utilizes cutting-edge technology, including force plates, velocity-based training units, timing gates, and the Bod Pod, to monitor athlete readiness and track performance. These tools also help create a highly competitive environment, driving our athletes to excel.
Â
"Our injury rates are nearly five times lower than the NCAA national average, which is a testament to the effectiveness of our approach," Coach Rago highlights. "But what I enjoy most is working directly with our student-athletes. Watching them succeed, both in the weight room and in their sport, is incredibly rewarding. The relationships we build and the impact we have on their athletic careers and overall well-being are what make this job truly special."
Â
At Aurora University, we are not just training athletes—we are shaping their futures, both on and off the field.
