The Aurora University Women's cross country team placed third at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational hosted by Augustana College. They scored 74 points. University of Chicago and Wheaton College finished ahead of the Spartans, scoring 25 and 71 points, respectively.

Aurora's superb finish was achieved by placing three runners in the first 15 places of the race. The rest of their pack was not far behind, which solidified their third place standing.

Emma Jasutis ran a fantastic race to finish next for the Spartans, running 24:04.0 to finish 12th. That time was a lifetime personal best for Jasutis.

Third across the line for the team was Mika Fields, who finished just behind Jasutis in 24:17.2, good for 14th place.

Alex Gonzalez then crossed for the Spartans in 25:09.1, followed by Mallory Arroyo in 25:29.9.
