Aurora University Athletics in conjunction with BSN Sports proudly announces the recipients of the BSN Spartan Athletes of the Week award. The honors are earned based on the student-athletes performances on their respective playing surface the previous week.

This week's honors go to AU student-athletes, junior Devon Richardson of men's basketball and senior Riley Moreno of women's volleyball.

Devon Richardson, men's basketball - 
Richardson earned the honor after he had a strong start to his AU career, averaging 21.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in a pair of games, a 84-79 loss to Gustavus Adolphus and 84-79 win over Bethany Lutheran. He shot 69.6 percent from the field in the two games, went 11-of-16 from the free-throw line while adding three blocked shots. Against Gustavus, he tallied 23 points and nine rebounds and then added 20 points and six rebounds in the win over Bethany.

Riley Moreno, women's volleyball - 
Moreno earned the honor after she played a huge role on the defensive side of the court for Aurora in a pair of 3-0 wins over Benedictine and MSOE. She averaged 2.33 blocks per set on the week with 14 total, three solo and 11 assisted. In the 3-0 win at Benedictine she collected one solo and eight assisted blocks and then added two solo and three assisted in the senior day win over MSOE.
