AU falls on the road despite three double-digit scorers

The Aurora University men's basketball team traveled to Lisle, Illinois to take on Benedictine in first conference battle of the season. Despite having three scorers with double-digit points, AU could not secure the victory, falling 87-76.

How it happened
- A back and forth first-half would have the Spartans leading 15-12 seven minutes in.
- AU would continue to keep it close until the last 30 seconds when BenU would take a 6 point lead.
- AU was down going into the half 35-41.
- The Spartans would be 5-11 from the 3-point line lead by Gevon Grant with two.
- AU came out cold to start the second half, allowing a 9-0 run getting down by 15 in the early minutes.
- They couldn't make up the difference, only managing to keep up shot for shot the rest of the game.
- The Spartans would lose 87-76.
