Aurora University Athletics in conjunction with BSN Sports proudly announces the recipients of the BSN Spartan Athletes of the Week award. The honors are earned based on the student-athletes performances on their respective playing surface the previous week.

This week's honors go to AU student-athletes, senior Branden Dolezal of men's soccer and freshman Izabella Kowalczyk of women's volleyball.

Branden Dolezal, men's soccer - 
Dolezal earned the honor after he led Aurora in the opening round tournament win over Benedictine with a hat trick, accounting for all three AU goals in the 3-1 win. Earlier in the week in the NACC finale at Benedictine he scored the games first goal to account for four goals on the week.

Izabella Kowalczyk, women's volleyball - 
Kowalczyk earned the honor after she nearly led AU to a road upset of Edgewood, a 3-2 loss and played well in a 3-0 road sweep of Concordia Chicago. She averaged 3.38 kills per set on the week with 27 total. She had 19 kills in the match at Edgewood and also added 9.5 digs per match on the week.
