Spartans fall at Chicago in dual

The Aurora University Spartans men's wrestling team took on another dual opponent at the University of Chicago on Saturday with AU battling the Maroons but falling 29-20.

- Zane Ely got the Spartans started winning the first match of the day, putting the Spartans up an early 5-0 with a tech fall 17-1 at 6:48.
- With AU leading 5-4, Kalani Khiev added five points for the Spartans with a tech fall win 22-6 at 6:17.
- AU led 10-8 through the first four matches.
- Cameron Johnson would be the next AU winner, putting the Spartans up 15-8.
- Johnson won by tech fall 21-6 at 2:32.
- The Spartans would drop the next four matches of the dual and trail 29-15.
- AU's Elijah Osit finished the dual on a strong note, winning by tech fall 20-2 at 5:38.
