The Aurora University Spartans women's wrestling team took on the best in women's wrestling at the NCAA Division III National Invite hosted by Augustana College. AU finished fourth in a strong field of NCAA programs with 113.5 points.

Alexis Janiak won all five of her matches at 131 on the weekend, four by tech fall and one by a fall.

Tasha Markoutsis finished third at 131 with a 4-1 record and the only defeat coming to teammate Janiak.

Mackenzie Konanz finished third, going 6-1 at 180 with her wins coming by falls.

Genesis Ramirez finished third at 103 with a 4-1 record, winning the third place match by a 7-4 decision.

Bethany Regione went 4-2 on the weekend in the 124-pound class to finish fourth.

Next action for the Spartan women's wrestling team comes on Saturday, February 22 when they travel to 2025 NCWWC Regional hosted by Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan.
