How it happened
Game One
- AU went off for seven runs in the bottom of the first, as Joe Lukancic led off the half inning with a lead-off shot over the center field wall.
- Ryan Buck drove in Jaden Holgado with a fielder's choice, before Dominick Curcio reached on an infield single to first to make it 3-0 in favor of AU.
- Later in the first, Buck came around to score off a Dubuque error, before Julian Rosales roped a two-run double to give AU a 6-0 lead.
- That lead stretched to 7-0 when Spencer Ruch singled through the right side to bring in Rosales.
- In the bottom of the second, Logan Riley singled home Kyle Mack to give AU an 8-0 lead.
- Two batters later, Riley came around to score when Curcio hit an RBI single of his own for AU's ninth run.
- In the bottom of the fifth, AU added a couple of RBI singles each from Mack and Matthew Washington, as well as a Riley run scoring double.
- This gave AU a 13-0 lead, before Dubuque scored three in the sixth inning.
- In the top of the seventh, Dubuque added two more to cut the AU lead to 13-5.
- Despite five earned runs, AU starter Justin Zimmerman finished with 10 strikeouts in his six innings pitched.
- Dubuque would add one more in the ninth, but it would nearly be enough in the 13-6 AU game one victory.
- Anthony Consiglio also finished with two scoreless innings out of the bullpen for AU in their seven run win.

Game Two
- Similar to game one, Lukancic wasted no time putting AU on the board by crushing a lead-off homer over the left field wall.

- Dubuque cut the AU lead to 2-1 in the third with a run, before later tying the score at two in the sixth.

- Dubuque's offense scored seven runs in the eighth to hand AU the 9-3 loss.
