The Aurora University Men's Track and Field team competed in the Billiken Invitational hosted by St. Louis University in St. Louis, MO.
Steven Tinsley had a strong day in the field, competing in shot put and discus. In shot put, he finished third with a mark of 16.08m. He is now fourth in the nation in the event. In discus, he also placed third with a throw of 43.18m.
Armando Acosta became the second man in school history to break four minutes in the 1,500-meter. His time of 3:59.64 puts him second in school history. His effort earned him a fourth place finish overall.
Ethan Taylor finished seventh in the 100-meter in a personal best time of 11.04s.
Up next, the Spartans will compete in the Chicagoland Championships at Elmhurst University in Elmhurst, IL on Friday, April 4.
