The Aurora University softball team came back to Bedrosian Stadium on Sunday following their split in a doubleheader with Concordia University Wisconsin on Saturday, as the Spartans took on the Inferno of Alverno College. AU won game one by a score of 12-0, before coming back and shutting out the Inferno again by a score of 15-0.

Game One
- AU dropped four runs on the Inferno in the bottom-of-the-first, starting with a
Faith Biggs sac-fly that scored
Aubrey Ortiz.
- The very next batter Christina RIchards singled through the right side for the Spartans to score
Madison Lung.

Carly Clemens hit a two-run scoring single of her own later in the first to give AU a 4-0 lead.
- In the bottom-of-the-second, Richards hit a sac-fly, before
Stephani DeBise drove a double to left-center to give AU a 6-0 lead going into the third inning of play.
- In the bottom half of that third inning,
Kelsey Oviatt started another AU rally with an RBI double.

Sydney Helgerson came around to score later in the inning to make it 8-0 in favor of AU, before a
Mia Rivera double extended that lead to 9-0.
- DeBise came up later in the inning and cranked a ball over the left-center wall for a three-run homer.

Katelyn Serafin finished off Alverno in the final two innings to complete the 12-0 victory for AU.
- Serafin also finished with a complete game, giving up only three hits and collecting nine strikeouts.
Game Two
- AU's offense went off for 10 runs in their half of the first, starting with a
Faith Biggs double that scored
Sydney Helgerson and
Aubrey Ortiz.

Stephani DeBise followed up her homer in game one with another two-run shot in game two, giving AU a 4-0 lead.

Lily Komperda singled in two more runs, before she and
Kelsey Oviatt came around to score after an Inferno error to make it 8-0.
- The Spartans completed their 10 run rally in the first with a
Mia Rivera RBI groundout and
Nina Richards RBI single.
- AU scored three more in their half of the second on a Biggs run scoring groundout and Richards two-run single.
- Two more runs came in AU's half of the third on a
Mia Malczyk and Biggs run scoring singles to make it 15-0

Talia Lorenzo shut down Alverno 1-2-3 in their half of the fourth, before
Sarah McManus took over in the circle for AU and completed the shutout for the Spartans with a scoreless fifth inning.
- This gave AU the 15-0 victory, as
Rylee Campbell picked up the win in the circle.
