Spartans drop a pair of road NACC contests

The Aurora University baseball team traveled to MIlwaukee to take on the MSOE Raiders. AU scored first in both contests of the NACC doubleheader but would fall 7-4 and 10-4 in the Saturday twin-bill.

How it happened
Game One
- The Spartans plated a run in the first with a lead-off walk from Dominick Curcio and he later scored on a MSOE error.
- AU added two more runs in the second with a run scoring double from Matthew Washington (Brayden Gorecki scored) and Kyle Mack was hit by pitch with the bases loaded that scored Washington.
- AU starter Justin Zimmerman kept MSOE at bay until the third when they scored two but Spartan catcher Logan Riley came up big throwing out a pair of base runners in the inning.
- In the fifth, Riley helped the Spartans at the dish, homering for a 4-2 AU lead.
- MSOE would tie the game in the seventh on two unearned runs.
- MSOE added three runs in the eighth and would win 7-4.

Game Two
- AU again opened up the game scoring with Riley singling in Joe Lukancic for a 1-0 AU lead.
- MSOE tied the game in the bottom of the first inning.
- The home team scored once in the third and opened up the game with three in the fourth.
- The Spartans would respond in the fifth with a pair of runs and trailed 5-3.
- Three walks and a hit by pitch aided MSOE in the sixth as they scored four times for a 9-3 lead.
- Both teams would score runs in the final innings for the 10-4 final score.
