The Aurora University baseball team saw its 2025 season come to an end in a high-scoring elimination game at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament, falling 8–6 to Edgewood College on Saturday afternoon. Despite holding multiple leads and a strong offensive showing, defensive miscues and a five-run fifth inning by the Eagles proved too much to overcome.

-Edgewood took a 1–0 lead in the bottom of the first, but AU responded with two runs in the second as Spencer Ruch delivered a two-run single to left, giving the Spartans early momentum.
-In the third, Brayden Gorecki tripled down the right field line to drive in Joe Lukancic, then came around to score on a groundout, extending the lead to 4–1.
-The Spartans tacked on another in the fourth after Dominick Curcio reached on an error and scored on a single by Logan Riley.
-Edgewood chipped away with a pair of runs before breaking the game open in the fifth with five runs on five hits and three AU errors, flipping the score to 8–5.
-AU answered in the sixth as Curcio singled, advanced to third on an error and balk, then scored on a sacrifice fly from Riley, trimming the deficit to 8–6.
-Aurora threatened late with runners in scoring position in the seventh and ninth, but couldn't come up with the clutch hit to extend their season.
- In total, AU outhit the Eagles 9–13 but was undone by four errors and 11 runners left on base.
