The Aurora University Men's Track and Field team competed in the Fighting Chance Invite hosted by University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL.
Sam Brown broke the school record in the 5,000-meter. He ran a strong race, sticking in the pack for the beginning of the race before taking the lead at the 3,000-meter mark, ultimately finishing second in his heat in 15:08.21. He ran nearly ten seconds faster than the previous record.
Freshman Naif Al Harby won his heat of the 1,500-meter in a personal best time of 4:16.70.
MeKhii Morris-Heron ran a personal best time of 22.78s in the 200-meter.
