Aurora University Spartan track and field senior thrower Steven Tinsley competed in the discus at the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship in Geneva, Ohio on Thursday.
 
Tinsley tossed a best throw of 46.70 meters (153'2") for his top mark which placed him 11th in the 22 competitor field. For his 11th place finish, Tinsley will earn Second-Team All-American honors.

Tinsley will compete in the shot put on Friday, May 23 in the 2025 NCAA Championship. He is the 10-seed in the shot put which will take place on Friday, May 23 at 10:30 a.m. (est) / 9:30 a.m. (cst).
