Fields named NACC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

Aurora University senior N'dya Fields has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

Fields earned the award after she placed 13th at the Gil Dodds Invitational hosted by Wheaton College, leading the Spartans to a sixth-place finish against an extremely competitive field of top NCAA Division III teams. Her time of 22:57.0 over the 6-kilometer course at St. James Farm Forest Preserve was a new personal best and was the top time posted by a NACC finisher by nearly 50 seconds.

Next action for the Spartan women's cross country team comes on Saturday, September 4 when they travel to the Brisman Lundeen Invitational hosted by Augustana College. Meet is at Saukie Golf in Rock Island, Illinois.
