Spartans strike five times in win over the Falcons

The Aurora University men's soccer team defeated the visiting Falcons of Concordia University-Wisconsin Wednesday night by a score of 5-1. Four late goals including a surprise kickoff goal ended up being too much for the Falcons.

RECORD: Aurora University 3-3-2 and 2-1 in the NACC; Concordia University-Wisconsin 1-4-3 overall and 0-2-1 in the NACC

How it happened
- The Spartans dominated the first half on offense, out shooting the Falcons 13-1.
- Spartan Senior Branden Dolezal got the Spartans going with a 24th minute goal, assisted by Luca Avendano.
- The Spartans would head into the locker room at half with a 1-0 lead.
- Luca Avendano would get the Spartans rolling in the second half with a 47th minute goal. 
- Carlos Viayra would then start the late game chaos with his first goal of the year, an unassisted 75th minute goal.
- CUW would get there one and only goal of the game soon after in the 78th minute.
- Catching the Falcon goalie off guard would be Josue Roman, who struck his eight goal of the season on the kickoff! Brandon Dolezal would lend the assist.
- Finishing of the scoring for the Spartans would be Yandel Reyes who also scored his first goal of the year, getting the assist from Jorge Morales.
- The Spartans would end the game out-shooting the Falcons 25-4.
- With the offense in complete control, Spartan goalie Alex Ageladelis had an easy one, only getting two saves on the night.
