Aurora University Athletics in conjunction with BSN Sports proudly announces the recipients of the BSN Spartan Athletes of the Week award. The honors are earned based on the student-athletes performances on their respective playing surface the previous week.

This week's honors go to AU student-athletes, junior Jeffery Hillmer of men's basketball, and freshman Sophia Ball of women's wrestling.

Jeffery Hillmer, men's basketball - 
Hillmer earned the honor after he helped AU to a 2-0 week with road wins at Illinois Tech (85-66) and Edgewood (98-59). He shot 77.8% from the field over the two games (14-of-18) while averaging 17.5 points and grabbed 7.5 rebounds. He also added 3.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game on the week. In AU's win at IIT,  he scored 21 points while pulling down nine rebounds, handed out five assists and had five steals. 

Sophia Ball, women's wrestling - 
Ball earned the honor after she helped lead AU to a third-place finish at the NWCA National Duals. In her matches on the weekend, she finished 4-0 with three tech falls and a huge 12-10 decision over the No. 7/8 ranked wrestler in her weight class.
