Men's relays shine at Aurora Grand Prix

The Aurora University Men's Track and Field team competed in their home meet, the Aurora Grand Prix, at Gately Indoor Track and Field Center on Saturday. The unscored meet drew lots of competition, with 26 schools competing.
 
The 4x200-meter relay saw two great Spartan performances. First, the squad of Jahrel Rimpel, Caleb Burgins, Josh Beechler, and Ethan Taylor ran a converted time of 1:33.43, which was good for second in the race. This time also places them second in school history in the event. Aurora's second squad of Henry Beyer, Ayden McGill, Jaxson Foster, and Xavier Williams placed sixth in the event with a converted time of 1:35.79. They are now fifth in school history.
 
The Spartan 4x400-meter relay team of MeKhii Morris-Heron, Henry Beyer, Jahrel Rimpel, and Ayden McGill placed third in the event with a time of 3:30.39.
 
Armando Acosta placed eighth in the mile with a converted time of 4:19.65.
 
Up next, the Spartans will compete at the University of Chicago. The meet will take place on January 31st at 12:00 PM.
