AU men run 7th at Windy City Rumble

The Aurora University Men's Track and Field team competed in the Windy City Rumble hosted by University of Chicago on Saturday. The Spartans placed seventh in the eight team meet, scoring 24 points.
 
Armando Acosta won the 800-meter in 1:54.81. He is currently 20th in the country in Division III in the event.
 
Four Aurora runners finished in the top eight of the 400-meter. Joshua Beechler led the way with a runner-up finish in 52.51s. Ayden McGill finished close behind in fourth place in 52.78s. Then came Jahrel Rimpel who ran 53.39s for sixth place. MeKhii Morris-Heron rounded out the squad in eighth with a time of 53.49s.
 
Joshua Beechler also won his section of the 200-meter in 23.49s. His time earned him an eighth place finish overall.
 
Up next, the Spartans will compete at the Keck DIII Select hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University. The meet will take place on February 7th at 10:45 AM.
