Aurora University Athletics in conjunction with BSN Sports proudly announces the recipients of the BSN Spartan Athletes of the Week award. The honors are earned based on the student-athletes performances on their respective playing surface the previous week.

This week's honors go to AU student-athletes, senior Juliano Santalucia and junior Jakson Kirk of men's hockey, and sophomore Krystyna Manzanarez of women's basketball.

Juliano Santalucia, men's hockey - 
Santalucia earned the honor after he helped AU to a 2-0 weekend with 4-1 and 4-2 wins over No. 2 Adrian. He finished the weekend with two goals and an assist while collecting four blocked shots. In the 4-1 road win to open the series, he had an assist and in the home wrap up for the series, he had a pair of goals.

Krystyna Manzanarez, women's basketball - 
Manzanarez earned the honor after she led AU to an 83-59 road win over North Central (Ill.). She finished with a game-high 34 points on 14-of-20 shooting from the field (70%) with four-of-eight from three and two-of-three from the free-throw line. She also added six steals, three assists and two rebounds in the winning effort.

Jakson Kirk, men's hockey - 
Kirk earned the honor after he helped AU to a 2-0 weekend with 4-1 and 4-2 wins over No. 2 Adrian. In the series opener at Adrian, he scored two goals including the game winning goal and then added an assist in the 4-2 home win to complete the weekend sweep.
