The Aurora University men's hockey team celebrated Senior night Friday evening before taking on Dubuque. AU recognized the eight seniors on the team including Graduate Assistant Joe Costello. Also during the night, Junior Jakson Kirk set the all-time goals scored record for the AU Men's Hockey Program with 40. The Spartans scored in plenty, as they took down Dubuque 7-4.

- AU celebrated each of the Spartan seniors before the game began.
- Once the puck dropped, AU took control.
- Four minutes into the contest, Senior Lukas Sedlacek used the power-play to put the Spartans on top early. Assisting him was Chayce Schmidt and Hassan Akl.
- Then a few minutes later, another senior, this time Juliano Santalucia put the Spartan up 2-0 scoring the unassisted goal.
- Dubuque had one goal of their own, on the power-play, late in the first period, and AU would lead 2-1 going into the second period.
- Not one minute into the second period, Landry Schmuck scored with assists from Jackson Hay and Akl.
- Dubuque would answer in the seventh minute with their second goal of the evening.
- The third Spartan Senior to score on the evening came in the 15th minute when Hassan Akl score with help from Schmuck and Jaden Davis.
- AU led 4-2 going into the final period of play.
- The first of seven goals in the third period came when Jakson Kirk scored on the empty net in the 16th minute.
- That goal was the 40th of his career, and put him at the top of the AU all-time goals scoring list.
- Just 30 seconds later Dubuque used an extra attacker and scored to narrow the AU lead, now at 5-3.
- Dubuque scored again with less than three minutes remaining in regulation, this time at even strength.
- Spartan Senior Roc Truman scored soon there after with help from fellow Senior Jake Code.
- As time expired, Sedlacek scored his second goal of the night with an assist from Schmidt on the empty Dubuque net.
- The Spartans won 7-4 over Dubuque on Senior night.
