Spartans Dominate OshKosh in Program's Inaugural Game

The Aurora University Women's Flag Football team played their inaugural game Wednesday afternoon when they traveled to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. The first ever game for both programs ended with a 34-0 Spartan victory. Spartan quarterback Kaylin Morgan tossed for 237 yards and four touchdowns in AU's maiden contest.

How it happened
- The first possession in the program history came with the Spartans on defense against Oshkosh.
- On the fourth play, Emily Gabrelcik collected the first interception in program history.
- The interception set up a three-play drive with Jada Morgan scoring the first AU touchdown on a 16-yard run.
- AU led 6-0.
- On the first play of the second quarter the first passing and receiving touchdown for AU arrived.
- Kaylin Morgan hit Tiondra Henry for a 43-yard touchdown and AU led 12-0.
- Later in the second, Gabrelcik intercepted her second pass of the game.
- The interception set up another AU score.
- Morgan hit Clare Strong and the Spartans led 18-0 which would be the score going to halftime.
- In the third quarter, Morgan connected with Jennah Grice and AU led 26-0 with the extra point conversion.
- Morgan and Strong connected for a second time in the fourth quarter. With the extra point, AU led 34-0.
- The AU defense held off Oshkosh to collect the shutout win, 34-0.
