AU women compete in multiple Invitationals

The Aurora University Women's Track and Field team competed in four events with a partial squads at the WashU Distance Carnival, the St. Louis University Speed/Power Festival, the NCC First Chance Invitational and the Billiken Invitational.
 
WashU Distance Carnival - 
- Susi Martinez and Emma Jasutis competed in the 5,000-Meter. They ran together for much of the race, before Martinez pulled ahead to finish in 18:53.73. Jasutis finished close behind in 19:03.53. Both times were personal bests.
 
SLU Speed/Power Festival - 
 - Victoria Tarpeh ran a personal best time of 28.37s in the 200-Meter. She also ran a personal best in the 100-Meter, finishing in 13.27s.

NCC First Chance Invitational - 
Marisa Janecek placed seventh in the Discus, throwing 33.05m. She then placed eighth in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 37.60m. Paola Vargas also finished well in the Hammer Throw, reaching 34.19m.
Paige Chapin finished tenth in the Shot Put with a strong mark of 10.59m.
Keyara Bailey jumped 1.49m in the High Jump, good for a seventh place finish. She also competed in the Long Jump, where she earned a mark of 4.80m.
- Freshman Kailie Davey ran a personal best time of 29.08s in the 200-Meter.

SLU Billiken Invitational - 
- Victoria Tarpeh won her heat of the 200-Meter in a personal best time of 28.29s. She also contested the 100-Meter, where she finished 15th in 13.19s.
Emma Jasutis ran a personal best time of 5:10.89 to finish 15th in the 1,500-Meter. She led a strong contingent of Spartan women in the event, with everyone who competed earning a personal or season best.
- Savannah Vazques finished next in 5:17.24, followed by Mallory Arroyo and Samantha Ventura in 5:27.17 and 5:31.06, respectively. Brenda Aquino rounded out the event with a personal best time of 5:33.25.

Up next, the Spartans will compete in the Wheaton College Invite hosted by Wheaton College in Wheaton, Il. The meet will take place on Tuesday, March 31.
