Aurora University Athletics in conjunction with BSN Sports proudly announces the recipients of the BSN Spartan Athletes of the Week award. The honors are earned based on the student-athletes performances on their respective playing surface the previous week.

This week's honors go to AU student-athletes, junior SJ Nelson of men's volleyball and junior Stephani DeBise of softball.

SJ Nelson, men's volleyball - 
Nelson earned the honor after he had another strong week in three matches for AU, averaging 4.00 kills per set with 44 total and hitting .262. He had double figure kills in all three matches while collecting a double-double of 17 kills and 10 digs in a 3-0 win over Concordia Chicago.

Stephani DeBise, softball - 
DeBise earned the honor after she went 9-14 on the week with AU splitting doubleheaders with Saint Mary's (Ind) and Benedictine. She had three doubles, a home run with six runs batted in and five runs scored over the four games. In the doubleheader with Saint Mary's, she went 6-for-8 with three doubles, five runs batted in and four runs scored.
