AU women battle win and field at Don Church

The Aurora University Women's Track and Field team competed in the Don Church Twilight Meet hosted by Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL on Saturday. The Spartans finished seventh out of 20 teams with 21 points on a very windy day. University of Chicago won the meet with 201 points.

Trinity Stewart finished third in the 400-Meter in 1:03.43.

Emma Jasutis competed in the 3,000-Meter Steeplechase, where she ran 12:10.76 to place fourth.

The Spartan 4x100-Meter Relay team of Victoria Tarpeh, Kaylee Martinez, Kailie Davey, and Trinity Stewart finished in 52.41s for fifth place.

Keyara Bailey placed seventh in the High Jump with a mark of 1.42m.She also placed seventh in the Long Jump, with a jump of 4.91m.

Mallory Arroyo raced to a personal best time of 19:29.28 in the 5,000-Meter, good for seventh place.

Up next, the Spartans will compete in the Cougar Invite hosted by Concordia University Chicago in River Forest, Il. The two-day meet will take place on Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25.
