Aurora University baseball catcher Tyler Patton was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Baseball Student-Athletes of the Week, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals. The honor is the second consecutive week for Patton being selected.
Patton earned the honor after he had another strong week for Aurora, which split a pair of games at Rockford and swept Marian. After being held hitless in game one against the Regents, he was 7-for-12 with four home runs, two doubles, 11 RBIs, and eight runs scored over the final three games of the week. Patton capped the week by going 3-for-4 with a double, two home runs, seven RBIs, and three runs scored in a 15-5 game-two win over the Sabres. Over the four games, Patton posted a .500 on-base percentage and a 1.400 slugging percentage.
Next scheduled action for the Spartan baseball team comes on Wednesday, April 22 when they travel to Dominican University in a doubleheader. First pitch is set for 1:00 p.m. in Schaumburg, Illinois.
