Aurora University senior Christian Wakeford has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals. 

Wakeford earned the honor after he won the Lake Forest Forester Spring Invitational with a 36-hole score of 6-under 138 after firing rounds of 70 and 68. Earlier in the week, he finished seventh at the Morningstar Masters hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran, posting a 142 total (69-73) over 36 holes. Wakeford averaged 70 strokes per round over the four rounds.

Next action for the Spartan men's golf team comes on Tuesday, May 12 through Friday, April 15 when they travel to the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships at Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
