Aurora University baseball infielder Joe Lukancic was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Baseball Student-Athletes of the Week, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals. 

Lukancic earned the honor after he continued his torrid pace at the plate in road sweeps over Dominican and Edgewood. He hit .600 (12-of-20) with two doubles while driving in eight runs and scoring six more, and had two or more hits in each game. Lukancic's best game of the week came in 14-4 game two against Dominican, where he went 4-for-5 with a double, three RBIs, and three runs scored. Lukancic's 12 hits vaulted him to fourth on Aurora's all-time hits list with 234 - just six back of second place.

Next scheduled action for the Spartan baseball team comes on Tuesday, April 28 when they host Wheaton College. First pitch is set for 6:00 p.m. in Montgomery, Illinois at Jim Schmid Field at the Stuart Sports Complex.
